DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Yes — with some important nuances, so I want to lay it out clearly. I'm in-network with most major insurance panels, but insurance only applies to therapy services (individual and group). I'm currently unable to accept insurance for any assessment services (Autism, ADHD, combined, or gender-affirming letters of support). A few more specifics: Individual therapy: Most insurance panels will cover this regardless of what state you're located in, though some plans have restrictions. Group therapy: I can currently only accept insurance for group therapy if you're located in Colorado. Why the limitations? I'm credentialed through Headway and Tava, two platforms that currently only support therapy services (with some state and format restrictions) and don't support assessments at all. A few things to know about using insurance in general: A mental health diagnosis is required for insurance to cover services. Insurance companies may have some access to your records. There can be limitations around session timing, scheduling, or number of visits. If privacy and flexibility are a priority for you, self-pay may be a better fit. That said, I know insurance is a necessity for many people, and I'm glad to be able to make care more accessible and affordable by accepting it where I can.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

My out-of-pocket fees are the following: Individual therapy Intake $200 Individual Session (45-50 min) $155/session Group Therapy $50/Group Session Combined Autism/ADHD Assessment $2500 Autism Assessment $1800 ADHD Assessment $850 Gender Affirming Care Assessment & Letter $300-$600

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For all services except assessments, I require 24 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. In practice, this means notice is due by the same time on the previous business day. For example: A Monday at 1:30 PM appointment requires notice by Friday at 1:30 PM. A Tuesday at 1:30 PM appointment requires notice by Monday at 1:30 PM. Late cancellations and no-shows for these services are charged the full session fee. Assessments require more time, preparation, and resources to schedule, so I ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows for assessments are charged a $155 fee. I understand that life happens, and I appreciate your help in respecting this policy so I can offer appointment times fairly to all clients.

DO YOU OFFER IN PERSON SESSIONS?

At this time, I offer virtual sessions only. As a disabled provider, this format allows me to do this work sustainably and be fully present for my clients. It also happens to align well with the needs of many of the people I work with — a large number of my clients are neurodivergent, live with chronic illness, or have disabilities of their own, and I find that most genuinely prefer the comfort, accessibility, and flexibility of telehealth for both therapy and assessments.

DO YOU OFFER A FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION?

Yes! Before starting any service with me, I offer a free, optional consultation by phone or video — whichever you prefer. These are brief, 15–20 minute conversations where you can ask questions, I can walk you through what to expect, and we can talk through next steps together if it feels like a good fit on both sides. That said, some people prefer to skip the consultation and get started right away — if that's you, just let me know, and we'll move straight into scheduling.

DO YOU WRITE ESA LETTERS?

I provide ESA letters only for current clients with whom I have an established therapeutic relationship. There is a small fee to cover the time and documentation involved in preparing the letter.

DO I EVEN NEED AN AUTISM/ADHD ASSESSMENT AT MY AGE?

Honestly — maybe not. I view self-diagnosis as valid, and formal assessment isn't necessary for everyone to understand or claim their neurodivergent identity. That said, there are certain circumstances where a formal assessment can be a useful and meaningful step, including: Documentation for accommodations — in academic or professional settings Access to disability services Guiding treatment — helping inform and personalize your mental health care Clarity and self-understanding — making sense of your past, present, and future experiences through a new lens If any of these resonate with you, an assessment may be worth pursuing. But if you're simply looking for language and understanding for yourself, that's a valid path too — with or without formal testing.

WHAT IS THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS LIKE? WILL YOU HAVE TO TALK TO MY PARENTS?

My goal is to make this process as smooth, affirming, and comfortable as possible for you. The process begins with a free consultation, where I'll walk you through what to expect in more detail and answer any questions you have. If you decide to move forward afterward, you'll receive the necessary paperwork to get started. The assessment itself involves two main components: Questionnaires you can complete at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home Clinical interviews with me, conducted via telehealth As for talking to your parents — that's entirely up to you. You have the option of including a trusted other (a parent, spouse, roommate, friend, etc.) to provide collateral information, but this is not required. The choice is yours.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THERAPY IS RIGHT FOR ME AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Honestly, the answers to both of these questions vary from person to person — and therapy isn't necessarily for everyone. What I can tell you is that the research is fairly consistent on this: the biggest predictors of whether therapy works are the fit between therapist and client, and the client's readiness to engage in the work. Readiness doesn't mean fearless. It doesn't mean you feel confident, calm, or free of nerves. It doesn't mean the work won't feel intimidating or scary at times. It simply means you're ready to take the first step. As for timelines — as much as I wish I could give you one, healing takes as long as it takes. Growing takes as long as it takes. What I can promise is that we'll move at a pace that respects where you are, not where you "should" be.

WHAT IF WE START THERAPY AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT'S A GOOD FIT?

If at any point you feel like you're not getting what you need from our work together, I encourage you to tell me. I welcome feedback, and in my experience, most concerns can be adjusted and resolved once there's open communication about what isn't working. To be fair — I'm not everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay. No one is. That's realistic, normal, and nothing to feel bad about. If there's something about our dynamic that genuinely isn't the right fit for your goals, I'll gladly help you find someone who is.

DO YOU USE AI WITH YOUR CLIENTS?

No! And I don't intend to! I don't use any AI apps for any clinical work that is associated with patient information or clinical services.
